Hi,

I've managed to install FreeNAS within KVM under Ubuntu 14.x quite easily.

For a few good reasons including plans to run other VMs from the Ubuntu box I want to be able to:

1) Load an NFS share as a client from my Ubuntu server in FreeNAS to then treat as an area to be shared out in the same way a drive or volume would be
2) I want to use the Plex server plugin to also access another NFS share to - well - share out media.

There seems to be some talk about it if I do some googling but I have not found any thing firm as FreeNAS is geared towards the sharing out of information rather than the other way round.

Thanks in advance.

Your use case is most definitely not supported.

You do not want to do this. Why share things twice when you can just use the data from the Ubuntu install?
