Hello,

I have been out from forum since years ago and now version 11.3 is alive (Wow!!).

I have 2 servers running in a DC using VMware and there are some VMs that require to have a very fast way to R/W data and I was thinking on creating a RAM HDD using FreeNAS and present it to the VM via iSCSI so the VM OS will be able to partition and format exposed Ram Drive and used it within the same Hypervisor environment. I already did some tests within the Hypervisor and tweaked the Hypervisor and the VMs with good transfer speed using ram based drive within the underlying VM.

Any documentation or links to use to achieve such task?

Help would be appreciated.

No, FreeNAS is designed to supply a ZFS pool for clients.
