How do I change password for jails and plugins?

After a recent hacking incident with someone I do support for, I've decided to stop being a fool and start using some more complex passwords.

I have a couchpotato plugin, sabnzbd plugin, qbittorrent custom jail (as per the guide here), sickrage plugin.

I've reset the root password to be nice and complicated, the user accounts on the NAS are more complicated, but the jails I'd like to fix up.

So basically, are the jail passwords actually the same as the software within the jail? (I recall real issues with qbittorrent authentication, I think the jail itself has a diff password to the qbittorrent app?)

Any tips please.

There is no such thing as a "jail password". There are, potentially, user passwords within the jail (which can be set and changed, as @m0nkey_ says, using the passwd) command, and there may be application passwords, which would be changed as specified by the application in question, but there's no password for the jail itself.
