As of 4.46.0, homebridge-config-ui-x now has proper FreeBSD support for it's hb-service management tool.

You'll want to change the release at the top and the UID/GID used in the script according to your installation. (This really should be registered with ports' UIDs/GIDs files, but this isn't really a very ports-like project.)
