I've been a linux user for over 20 years and am using FreeNAS for a home storage solution. I'm slowly learning freeBSD, ZFS, Jails, etc in the process. I had been using a buffalo terastation III for several years, but eventually got tired of the lack of configurability.

I too got sick of the speed, disk size limitation, weak support, and lack of configuration options of the Terastation I had been using up till I built my FreeNAS.
