Poking around in a shell, not doing anything crazy, just some mkdirs and some chown and chmod, suddenly got this message when trying to log into my jail.

[root@freenas] /# jexec -u root 1 csh

/libexec/ld-elf.so.1 Shared object "libncurses.so.8" not found, required by "csh".

What the heck did I do? Please tell me this doesn't require a full reinstall or something. I have been setting up plugins and mount points all morning trying to get Sickbeard and SABNZBD working.

Anyone know what I did wrong?

False alarm. Rebooting the freenas box fixed it. Weird issue though. Not sure what caused it.

Possible flash corruption or misread. Make sure to save a copy of your configuration file somewhere! FreeNAS full reinstalls are pretty straightforward if you have one.

Good to know if it ever happens again...So I could just reboot with the ISO and re-install overtop and retain all my settings and plugins? That would be awesome. Gonna look into some threads on what I should be backing up, as you can bet I will be once I get all this working.

There's a configuration file. System->Settings->Save Config.
