I cannot access my GUI. I have been playing around trying to setup remote access for the GUI in doing so I have managed to completely ostracise myself from accessing the GUI. I changed the WebGUI port in the settings tab to 101. Then I tried port forwarding to this port and my freenas IP. but no luck cannot get in.

Any help would greatly be appreciated in fixing my stuff up.

Thank you

Did you try: http://IP-address:101

You should use ports above 1024, usually ports below that are reserved. Ports above that are also used by lots of different programs too, but something between 1024-65000 (I'm not sure of the exact upper number).

Well, I probably shouldn't open this can of worms, but from the console / command line try this:

sqlite3 /data/freenas-v1.db "update system_settings set stg_guiport=80;"

(Keep the quotes)

You'll probably need to reboot after that too....

Assuming access has only been lost to the GUI on the external IP address, it's probably another Loop back/NAT filtering issue, the OP should see here.

Tmacka88, Milhouse could have a point, I was assuming you meant you lost access on your local network.
