Can anyone recommend a decent RAID card (capable of RAID 0, 1, 6 or 10) that can also be flashed to IT mode so it can be used as a HBA. So i would be able to use the card for a specific use case, they can be flashed back to original firmware i presume?

Must be compatible with ESXi/FreeNas/Unraid/Windows 10

The answer has not changed in many years and will not change until SAS4 comes along.
Anything with an LSI/Broadcom/Avago SAS2008, SAS2308 or SAS3008. Or the SAS+NVMe stuff, if you want to bleed money. When SAS4 comes along, add the SAS3008 to the list after the software matures.

Dell Perc H310 works great can pick them up cheap on ebay. The 9201-8I also works.
