Hi All,
Looking at replacing my Dell 720XD, as I will be losing my rack in a few months and won't have a viable location for it to live and stay cool.
My goal was to reuse as many parts from the Dell 720XD as possible, which is how I have come up with the following build using the CPU and RAM.
Build Components
Power Consumption
For the motherboard, I have found a second-hand Supermicro Server CSE-825 near where I live, so I was going to rip the EATX X9DR3/i-F out of that.
I did look at a Dell T620, but it limits future expandability, which I would prefer to keep at all costs. I also lost the ability to have dual OS SSD Drives.
