Hi all
We are in the process of building a FreeNAS storage platform to be used Veeam backups with the intention of building a second for replication.
The hardware we have chosen for the primary backup is as follows:
Supermicro X9DRi-F Mainboard
2x E5-2620 CPU
128GB RAM
LSI 9207-8e HBA attached to a 28 bay JBOD
I just wanted to confirm that the mainboard and HBA were ok. I've searched these forums and found variants of this board being used but not the exact model. I also stumbled on a thread somewhere mentioning a problem with this HBA but of course I cannot find it again.
Thank you
