Ever since I upgraded to my SAS 1TB drives their LED activity lights are on permanently, I upgraded to them 6 ~ 8 months ago. I was previously using SATA drives which didn't have this behavior. I saw in some previously OLD posts that people thought the APM was the issue, not sure if that's the case with 11.1-U6 or if there was some way to discover why the activity lights remain on?

I am using the following:

FreeNAS 11.1-U6
Server:
Dell PowerEdge R510
64GB RAM
Perc 200 IT Mode
14 x 1TB Dell SAS 7200RPM drives

The system is used as a SAN using iSCSI direct connected to my ESXi 6.7, I don't use for anything else.

Thanks,

The dells have two LEDs per drive. One solid on is normal for sas drives.
