Hi Sretalla,

Thanks. I checked that it is a permission problem.

By the way, I also find out the problem for the static IP network problem.

The IP setting should be:
VNET checked, Berkeley Packet Filter checked. IPv4 Interface = vnet0, IPv4 Address = 192.168.1.X IP v4 Netmask=24. Default Router = 192.168.1.1

The reason why I cannot make it work because of the startup script problem. I believe this is a bug in FreeNAS.

I add the script "vendor.conf" under /etc/defaults/, but it only works in DHCP setting but not Static IP setting !!!!!!

Hi Sretalla, do you know that the correct way to kick start of the script? For example, I have a startup.sh, WHERE should I put to make it start correctly?

I eventually resolve this. The Static IP is successfully setup and also the startup script can be successfully run. Solution enclosed.

Thanks for Sretalla help in here for a long time.

Note that the DHCP reservation has to be set up in the router level and need to map the MAC address, which would be my last resort if I cannot get the static IP works.

I still have several items need to resolve, such as how to merge all jail IPs into single IP, I will try to find a solution soon.

Million thanks for Sretella.
