Graphical VMs and non-iGPU CPUs

Hi Everyone,

I have the opportunity to get a Xeon E3-1231 v3 for a good price as a basis for a new build and was wondering how CPUs without an integrated GPU would work with a Graphical VM?

I want to be able to run a Windows 10 or 7 VM to run a game server with its graphics switched off, so it only needs to be able to run a GUI in windowed mode.

Anyone have any ideas if this is possible?

bhyve does not use host graphics, emulating graphical "hardware" for VMs only when needed and purely in software.
