hi Folks,
after playing for 2 years offline with freenas, I did the next step.
Last weekend I set up ESXi with freenas, pfSense and some more.
I would like to have an OpenVPN connection to my DMZ and I need your advice, to make sure I am getting the concept.
Since my IP address is changing every xx days, I need a fix point to connect from remote.
cloudflare is offering a dynamic dns service for free, but I need to mention a domain there.
so would it be sufficient to just buy a domain, register it at cloudflare and set up my pfSense thing to ping every xx seconds cloudflares server, so that they get my ip address?
is this the way it works?
any other hints to get this dyndns service without a domain?
