Hi everyone,
To preface this, freenas 9.3 has been my first major dealing with a non windows OS and I've been trying to fix this problem for a few days now.
My goal is to set up automatic downloads and organisation of media using sickrage and couch potato with transmission at the torrent client. I know there are heaps of guides out there to do just that but I feel like I've tried them all at this point with no luck. I need to be able to access the files directly from my main pc but also through plex on my HTPC. To do this I have set up a windows share, which contains all my media files, inside a dataset.
My problem is that I can't seem to give sickrage, couch potato and transmission read/write permissions over the folders in my windows share.
Is there a way to fix this that I haven't found; or more likely have found but haven't understood?
Would there be a better way to organise my files to accomplish this than to put all my media into a windows share?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
