My FreeNAS stick doesn't boot at all anymore, I have no idea what is wrong as I haven't changed anything lately. I can read the stick in in a PC-BSD VM without a problem so I just want to get the config of that FreeNAS installation and just "burn" the stick again. I haven't made any recent backup of the my config so I really need to get the configuration of this stick.
So where is the configuration actually located? Or is the config file that you get via the gui something that is generated everytime I download one and the the actual config file are all over the place?

Oh ok, thats the file I tried out. When I copied that to a new FreeNAS install there was no change in the settings :/

Oh I can just upload this file via the gui? Neat.
I got it working later, seems like just overwritting didn't worked in PC-BSD, after deleting the empty config and copying the new config it worked perfectly.
