Hello everybody,

I need your help .

My FreeNAS 9.2.1.9 VM will not start after my USB stick is smoked with ESXI 5.5 and I have taken the opportunity to update to ESXI 6.0 .

Passthrough of LSI 2308 is reactivated but something will not longer work after Freenas I received it in the inventory and would like to boot . It seems to have something to do with the bypassed LSI .

In safe mode, it starts but how do I get it back again it starts in normal mode .

Do you think there's something to save or should I create a new VM FreeNas and import the ZFS pool again?

I once made a screen capture from the boot and made a screenshot .

Left side in normal mode where it gives up and right in Safe Mode .

Yes, you can certainly just destroy the old VM and build a new one and install freenas. If that doesn't work, it's likely something with your esxi setup. Unfortunately I'm not sure how much help you will get on the forum here given that the policy is basically, "virtualize at your own risk."
