I am new to FreeNAS, so please excuse my ignorance. I recently setup a FreeNAS machine, and was having problems with permissions trying to access it from a Win7 PC. I misinterpreted something from the user guide and tried to setup the Active Directory feature thinking this would solve my problems. However, after doing so, now I can no longer see or access my FreeNAS machine on the network, even though AD is not turned on in services. Any ideas on what could be going on? Is there a way to clear/reset all the settings and start from scratch again without disturbing the ZFS volume I created?

No idea what the problem is - I've always been lucky enough to have avoided using the AD features myself!

System/Settings/Factory restore will wipe all the config from the memory stick. The disk contents won't be affected - you can remount the array using Storage/Volumes/Autoimport Volumes (or in the surprise case that it doesn't find them, Import Volumes).
