FreeNas Network Settings for jails internet access

HI all

I need some help!

I use freenas, most for plex server
i have both last versions freenas XX and xx for plex
and i am not able to connect with plex to register it on plex servers so that i can access outside my network.

After some research i know that the problem isnt with plex, but with network configurations, that i change when i was trying to change access, and i change ips, now it won t work.

My Gateway ISP IP is 192.168.1.254
MY freenas server IP is 192.168.1.73
My plex server ip is 192.168.1.14

what do i need to confirm?

This, acording to previous configuration was how it was, i remenber i change this, not sure from what, to my isp gateway 192.168.1.254 instead of 192.168.2.1

you either need to allow UPnP on your gateway or you need to forward the port that plex uses. If you click the advanced button in the upper right corner it shows you how to do all this.

This was ok, can anyone post their configurations? If they have something close to my configuration network, for ip and so on

i manage to ping from my win pc to both ips, also freenas seens to connect as it search for new plugins but plex doesnt do anything related to internet, but i can access from pc or tv on same network, but it wont update information or even login to plex.tv

can anyone confirm jails permissions?

that screen will totally fubar a jail if you use it. You'll overwrite file permissions on a grand scale and you'll be very sorry you did.

Also, what it says doesn't matter for a jail because the jail has tons of files with lots of settings.

In short, this is not the droid you are looking for.

I delete and create a new one... Will take a long time to get data again
