Hey all,

I noticed in my perimeter firewall that my Freenas box is making a LOT of outbound port 80 connections. I took out the default gw out of the configuration for now because it was flooding my firewall logs; my PAN firewall ID's it as http-proxy traffic.

Is the Freenas supposed to do this by design? Does it have a legit purpose?

It looks like you have Dynamic DNS configured and are using no-ip.com

If you do a reverse lookup on the IP address it resolves to: ip1.dynupdate.no-ip.com

Doh, that is correct. Now I feel silly. Thanks! :)
