FreeNas and Plex Plugin

Hello Community, I have one question concerning a huge problem. I do have a VU+ Box running and on that box I installed Dreamplex. When I try to get connection to the FreeNas server I can't get the direct connection over IP working. I have to say that the Freenas is behind a VPN connection.

What can I do to get it running, I think I miss the general understanding on that one.

This isn't a freenas question so you might not get any responses.

I would start by seeing if you can connect to the Plex web interface using the ip over the VPN. If that doesn't work then you VPN is broken. If it does work then dreamplex is broken.
