HI.
I wanted to install FreeNAS on my ACER H340.
I got video card working and was able to boot from usb stick.
But when i try to copy the data from usb stick to my internal flash i get some errors at the end.
I used
Code:
dd if=/dev/da0 of=/dev/da1 bs=512

to copy the data over to the internal flash.
After that i rebooted.
Now i get
Code:
F6 PXE
Boot: F1
error 4 lab 543951
No /boot/loader

FreeBSD/x86 boot
Default: 0:ad(0,a)/boot/kernel/kernel
boot:
error 4 lab 543951
No /boot/kernel/kernel

So it seems there is some fault with copying over the files from usb to internal flash in my eyes.
Or is there some other fault i could have made.
I tried the amd64 image and the i86 image.
Bot with the same result.
I hope someone can help me with this.
I would really like to get FreeNAS running on my H340.
Thanks

I would like to do the same thing. Were you able to install FreeNAS on the H340?
Since I'm a total newbie, is there any detailled information I can get to install FreeNAS on my H340?

Hi etaillefer,

If you have a PC with a cd-rom drive just boot the install CD and install on that. The system will ask to reboot but you can just power it off after it goes down & resets (displays the system bios). Then move the key over to the H340 & boot it up there.
