Hello Team,

I am new to FreeNAS and trying to install it. The issue I am having is that my system does not boot the ISO from either USB or DVD. Here are my system specs:
  • Intel Core i7-860 Processor 2.80 GHz 8M Total Cache 4 cores/8 threads
  • Intel Q57 Express Chipset
  • 4 GB Ram
  • 250 GB HDD
Please note, I used the following combos to create bootable USB:
  1. Win 10: Used Rufus to create a bootable from the downloaded ISO
  2. Mac High Sierra: Used the command line utility to create bootable USB
  3. Win 7: When none of the above worked, burned the ISO to DVD. I had to burn it to DVD as the ISO is over 700 MB
I changed the boot order in the BIOS to use USB/CD, but it never boots from USB/CB, always loads it from the internal HDD.

The processor does support 64-bit and the only thing that I can think of is the minimum 8GB RAM requirement. But I believe, the installer should still boot from either USB/CD.

Could you please help out? Thanks in advance for your time.

Update.

My apologies. I am trying to install v11.3.

I tried again using the following steps:
  • disabled HDD boot from the BIOS forcing boot from USB
  • downloaded the iso again
  • followed every single instructions to create a bootable USB using Mac OS High Sierra
  • tried the USB and I am getting
Invalid system disk -- Replace the disk, and then press any key.

Any help is much appreciated.
