hey guys!
I'm totally new to all that stuff.
I never worked with a NAS, command lines and setting permissions :/
unfortunately, a friend of mine set up my freeNAS and did all the configuration.
i hope it is ok, to post my question here and that i start directly!
on my NAS i've got 4 folders: (btw i've freeNAS 8.2.0 release)
name1
name2
name3
public
and i have the according users:
name1
name2
name3
public
user name1 should have access to all 4 folders
user name2 only to folder name2 and public
user name3 only to folder name3 and public
user public only to folder public
then i searched through this forum and found command lines like:
chown, chgrp, chmod 770, chmod 700
my question is now: how can i use these commands to config my permissions as mentioned above?
