Hi, I am going to build a nas on a budget of £500 and am going to use it for file storage/access in my home and streaming 1080p mkv (normal file size between 10gb and 20gb) to a tv. I have chosen 2x wd red nas 4tb drives (total price of £270) for raid 1 but am wondering on what other components I need. I am thinking of 8gb ram and an i3 4160 cpu with an antec earthwatts 380w psu with a basic motherboard but would the cpu be over kill for what I need as I probably won't be transcoding? I would also like to keep the nas wattage down to a minimum. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Dom

Hello,
Didn't you already ask this in a different thread?
