Hi guys,
I have been hanging around the support forums the last months quite a lot and read every bunch of advice I could find on increasing transfer speeds. I finally came through and can now write on my FreeNAS ZFS Pool with 150+MByte per Second - no matter what connection or machine I use.
Well... And I thought to give back to you guys by saying thank you! You regular contributors are doing amazing work here.
To all the beginners out there: If you have performance issues: Read. the. friendly. Hardware. Reccomendations.
And if you encrypt your volumes: Make pretty damn sure your processor is fluent in AES-NI and FreeNAS uses the hardware for encryption. Otherwise you will never be able to speed up :)
Best regards,
DonSebo
