Thanks. Good point. I just sent a PM to ask/verify with the seller.

As is, I just got burned buying 4 WD100EFAX's off of eBay @$219 and then the seller account went POOF! eBay has already agreed to refund the money, but I've got a few days wait for it. Then I'll probably start ordering the WD121KRYZ's.

The WD121KRYZ's are 4 months warranty only according to the eBay reseller. Supposedly new; but sounds refurbished to me. Oh well. Back to the original plan.

Correction: "These drives ship directly from WD in OEM packaging with 4 months of warranty. "

I've had a good experience with goharddrive.com - both as a buyer as well as a warranty claimant. They sell on Amazon and eBay but I'd expect direct sales from their web site to be less expensive since one doesn't have to pay the Amazon/eBay tax.

Thanks. I just checked them out. Unfortunately only 3TB in WD Red and the 12TB IronWolfs they do have are out of my price range. :(

My experience with them has been a while ago, but with eight failures out of six disks bought, it's going to be a lot longer.
