Failed drive remains after replace

Just wanted to finish up this thread.

Drive would not replace using the GUI. Had to manually create the partitions and then replace. System resilvered normally and I was able to detach the old drive.

Certainly something to be said about not relying on the GUI, because when it fails, all that's left is CLI.

Sorry. I was looking for solutions and searched various terms on the forums. Came across this post and saw it similar to my problem
