Error message when adding personal Microsoft account as cloud credential

I was experimenting with Cloud Credentials in TrueNAS just to see how the process worked and I got this error message from Microsoft when trying to sign in to my personal account via my FIDO2 security key:

Sorry, but we’re having trouble signing you in.

AADSTS500201: We are unable to issue tokens from this API version for a Microsoft account. Please contact the application vendor as they need to use version 2.0 of the protocol to support this.

It works fine if I sign into the same account through the traditional username/password method. Interestingly it gives me no error if I sign into my business account via FIDO2, it let me authorise TrueNAS. Perhaps the APIs are different between personal and business accounts?
