I am using Freenas 9.10. and my Raid-Z1 is encrypted. I have 2 "Available Space" within this pool, why/how and is there something wrong?

Please have a look at the screenshots (here 3.1 TB vs. 2 TB)

Another question:
Can I use just one encrypted pool or do I need a unencrypted pool e.g. for jails/plugins and .storage/logging?

Thanks a lot.

I'm not sure I follow your question. Could you please reword it and try again?

This is perfectly normal, there's nothing wrong, and it has absolutely nothing to do with encryption. The manual explains it.

Thank you. Sounds good, just wondered about the difference. Does it have any drawbacks to have just one encrypted pool e.g. in regards of jails/plugins and .system/logging folder.
