Hi,

My FreeNAS system has run fine for about 200 days. I wanted to upgrade from 9.10 to 9.10.2u6.
I shutdown all the jails, turned off all services and proceeded to upgrade to 9.10.2u6. After rebooting I couldn't get one of my 3 volumes to unlock/import.
ada0 = SSD1 - Single SSD (jails)
ada1 = OS/Boot - Single SSD
da0-5 = Data1 - 6 disk WD Red RAIDZ2
ada2/3 = Data2 - 2 disk WD Red RAIDZ0

When I came to unlock each volume I found the following:
Data2 - Unlocked OK with passphrase.
Data1 - couldn't be found when attempting to unlock, so I detached it and re-imported as per the manual - unlocked OK with encryption key file + passphrase.
SSD1 - couldn't be found when attempting to unlock, so I did the same as above, but when following the 'Import Volume' wizard, it couldn't be found.

I booted to my original installation and restored my configuration with the same problem.

The disk is available to be set up as a new volume, or can be used with 'Import Disk' but obviously I'd prefer to recover the volume where possible.
It doesn't have any critical data on it, but it would save a few hours setting up the jails again.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks

In order to mount an encrypted pool, you must supply the keys you previously backed up when originally setting up the pool.

I did that with data1 and it worked but when I came to do the same with volume 'SSD1', the wizard at step 2 of 3 doesn't list any disks to choose from for me to use the encryption key and passphrase with.

Can you provide details of your hardware configuration, CPU, motherboard, RAM and any HBAs you have?

Also provide output of camcontrol devlist and paste using the [ code ] tags

I recall there being some bug with multiple encrypted pools.

Suggest trying FN11.

Thanks for that - upgraded to FreeNAS-11.0-U3 (c5dcf4416) and I can import/unlock all 3 volumes now!
