Does jail autostart work?

I have a jail created that has the autostart checkbox in the advanced settings checked. I applied the latest 9.3-STABLE update to the machine and rebooted. When the machine booted up, the jail was not started. I had to start it manually. Shouldn't it have "autostarted"? Is this a known bug?

If you use encryption the autostart won't work. Is a bug and has been reported. https://bugs.pcbsd.org/issues/6972
