Does closing the browser end shell...

I logged into the shell and started an RSYNC to transfer to remote server. I closed the browser so now I'm curious...I could wait 12 hours haha...but since I closed the browser, will that end the RSYNC?

Yeah, I'm a die hard FreeNAS fan, and out of all the features, the web GUI shell is the only thing I won't use. I just go with Putty most of the time and don't have to worry about timeout's, and losing my spot on disconnect. Also, you can scroll up in Putty. I'd like to formally recommend those features be added to the web GUI shell, because I would love to use the convenient fact that it's just right there when I need to use it.
