Hi there
My Setup is as follows:
Freenas x64 8.2.0 B4
1 CPU, 8GB RAM
4GB Boot Disk
Running on ESXi 5
5 LUNs are mapped using RDM into the FreeNAS guest
Created a raidz-pool by GUI
When taking down one LUN, ESXi will take a while before disconnecting it from the guest.
At that moment, FreeNAS seems to reorder the disk-numbering
da0 4GB
da1 10GB -> da1 10GB
da2 10GB -> da2 10GB
da3 10GB -> removed
da4 10GB -> da3 10GB
da5 10GB -> da4 10GB
The whole system will hang up and no command could be executed any more
After hard powerdown and removing the "defect" RDM, I could power on FreeNAS again and everything comes up, but degraded (as suggested)
Any idea, what I'm doing wrong ?
regards
Martin
