Our FreeNAS-11.2-U7 box has been reporting “Device: /dev/ada2, 1 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors” every half hour. I found this article https://tinyurl.com/wmmjccn and after running smartctl -t long /dev/ada2 and waiting nine hours for the results here https://tinyurl.com/sbyxjro at this point I’m just confused on following the instructions to zero out the bad sectors of ata2. I’m thinking at this point just replacing the drive in question maybe the best way to proceed but would like to try the method listed in the article to see how many more miles I can get from this drive. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
