Received this email last night:
Cron <root@q30> PATH="/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/root/bin" cp /data/freenas-v1.db /mnt/backup/`date \+%Y\

Syntax error: EOF in backquote substitution
Syntax error: Error in command substitution

I don't have the knowledge to what it is about outside of a cron job cannot add date and year to an enty in the mount the backup volume (?)

A web search turns up a very similar Bug Report #9091 that was reported 9 months ago and supposedly fixed 5 months ago.

I know there has been some edits to the crontab that will be in the next SU (due out this week). If you still get that error after updating when that update becomes available, please create a bug report at bugs.freenas.org and post the issue number here.

Will do. This is a brand new box, so that was probably the first run of that cron job.
