Hi all, iv'e successfully setup my FreeNAS, transferred my data and now want to backup my files. I'm using Crashplan and initially wanted setup using the headless option (running the GUI on my Win 8.1 box) but noticed that Crashplan supported backing up a Windows Share although it was unsupported. Would the headless option be the faster backup method? I'm uploading 2 tb of data and I know it will take a few days but it's currently quoting about 35 days. Any thoughts? I have no problem going through the headless option but wanted to avoid the headachaes of the auto update with Crashplan and the GUI.

nope not yet. still backing through sharing my datasets through network shares via CIFS. It is going, albeit slow thanks to Comcast. Curious to know if it would be faster if I was doing the backup on the FreeNAS box itself and which directories to backup.
