Hello all -
Looking for a little advise.

Got notification from my server that I had unrecoverable files.
Running zpool status -xv
Gave me
pool: freenas-boot
state: ONLINE
status: One or more devices has experienced an error resulting in data
corruption. Applications may be affected.
action: Restore the file in question if possible. Otherwise restore the
entire pool from backup.
see: http://illumos.org/msg/ZFS-8000-8A
scan: scrub repaired 0 in 0h5m with 13 errors on Fri Apr 3 03:50:22 2015
config:

NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
freenas-boot ONLINE 0 0 13
da0p2 ONLINE 0 0 28

errors: Permanent errors have been detected in the following files:

freenas-boot/ROOT/FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201412200530:/boot/kernel/kernel
freenas-boot/ROOT/FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201412200530:/boot/kernel-debug/kernel

What would be the best way to replace repair this?

uname -r
9.3-RELEASE-p12

Sorry if I haven't given enough info. Let me know what else you might need

regards

Well the easier thing you can do is to backup your configuration, switch off your server, install again freenas 9.3 on a new usb stick and upload again your config file. Keep your old usb stick for any case.

That's right, your boot drive/stick whatever is breaking. You need to:

* Back up your config file (there's a way to do it in the GUI)
* Get a new boot device, install FreeNAS to it
* Boot
* Restore your old config
