Hi,
I would like to build a new FREENAS box and use it as iSCSI target for multiple hosts running proxmox/solusvm [KVM hypervisor] for running virtual machines.
our setup includes LVM for each VM for storage.
Now, the confusion is if it was NFS, then freenas ZFS knows which files are being accessed most and keep them in cache easily BUT how will it detect files inside LVM over iSCSI for caching ?
How exactly the cache will work when we use iSCSI target as VolumeGroup in multiple host and create LVM for many VM inside this VolumeGroup.
Does it even work in such setup ? please help and guide me.
Thanks.
