CIFS share hides files with special characters

One of my FreeNAS servers does not show files with special characters in it on a CIFS share in W10.

Searching the forum or googling the problem mostly directs me to problems with Rsync, Mac shares and other non related problems. My other server does not have this problem, i can't find the problem if i compare both to each other, as far as i can see the settings are the same.
What am i doing wrong can anyone point me in the right direction?

Information:
CIFS share in W10
Does not show files containing a é for example
CIFS settings: CP437 and UTF-8
If i use SSH i see the characters

Edit:
The FreeNas i have this problem with is an older installation updated over multiple times, the new FreeNas installation does not have this problem.
This problem where always there and where on the list to fix, not having this problem on the newer FreeNas makes me more confused on how to fix this.

Works just fine for me and I don't remember changing any settings related to locale.

As mentioned it also works on my other server therefore I'm trying to find out why it does not work on the other one.
Did I changed some settings unknowingly? I don't know where else to look.

Update, a fresh install fixxed the problem.
I could not find any difference in settings so I gave up.
