Hello. I've read the documentation regarding the Jail system in the latest release but i cant get it to work. When i click "add jail" i get the following pop up...

Pic removed

I notice it mentions "ipv4", does this mean the problem lies in my configuration? To be honest, i don't understand this new system and i have no idea if what i typed in the config is even correct.

Can someone please help?

Chris.

Which IPv4 addresses did you use in the begin and end range of the Jails Configuration? What is the IP address of the FreeNAS system? Is there a DHCP server on the network, and if so, does it try to give out any of the IP addresses within the range that you specified in Jails Configuration?

Im not sure if i have it set right, but i had a working plugin system in 8.3.1

Thanks,

The mask needs to be the same as the one running on the network, which definitely is not /32.

Other than that, the range you have set looks good.

Arh is that what that is? If so I'm pretty sure mine is 24. I'll change it and see if that fixes it.

Thanks again.

Any idea how to create a mount point? I need to point transmission at a place outside the jail.

Chris.

Edit: Figured it out in the end. "Mount points" are now configured via the "add storage" option in the jails option.
