Cant even make a simple ACL rule?

Hi,
I re-insalled the new version 21.08-BETA.1 and i see allot of changes. And i thought i start with the basic to setup pool , folders, user , smb.
But i cant even figure out the ACL. I have done a goup+user + shared 2 folders but i cant write to these folders.
From what i see it should have worked.
Anything i'm doing wrong?
Also for the temp folder i dont get why i had to add the mask? otherwise i could not save with only spawn user! that dont make sense, did not have to do it with backup folder!?

Not sure if they made it the same, but you can't share as root in CORE...

I'm using the default settings but only added the last row which is group=spawn

hmm and with no change it just works now
Still would be helpful to know why the mask thing does. If i remove it i get this error:
