Hi All,

So my old router has died and it has been replaced with a Netgear CG3000v2 which I have placed in bridging mode.
I use a Netgear DGND3700 as my router and for Wifi.
Problem is when trying to access Freenas on my static IP I have set of 192.168.0.30 I cannot find it from my PC!
I have tried resetting both the Router and my PC and even rebooting the NAS with no luck.
Not sure if it helps by my modem ip is set to 192.168.100.1

I would appreciate some assistance please.

Please explain your layout better. It is currently described as if we understand why you have multiple routers hooked up.

What router is handing out dhcp?
What is your subnet?
Why do you have multiple routers?

I have bridged the CG3000 because from research most of the reviews says its a carp router so I am only using it as a cable modem.
The DGND3700 is my router and I am guessing it is is handing out the dhcp.
My subnet is the default on the DGND3700 which is 255.255.252.0

I don't understand why it has stopped working becasue all I did was replace the modem and everything else stayed the same.

255.255.252.0? That's a lot of IP addresses.

You need to find out a bit more info about your network.

Where is dhcp running for sure?

The reason they can't talk is because they aren't technically in the same network. You need to fix your IP addresses and subnet masks.

Thank guys.

I actually managed to figure it out after logging into the DGND3700 router and noticing my IP there had changed. So I set a new static IP on my NAS box and got it working again.

Thanks for all the help though I do appreciate it.

Cheers
