Hi,

I got this ThinkServer TS140 a while back with idea to have few VMs just for testing and also combine CrashPlan with FreeNAS.
It has IBM1050 flashed in IT mode with 2x2TB WD Red HDs and one SSD (where ESXi is installed on).
Last time when I installed ESXi v6.0 FreeNAS installed just fine. Now that I got some free time and wanted to finish setting it up but ran into this error when trying to install "CAM status: SCSI status error".
Did anyone ran into the same issue with similar setup?

Any help is much appreciated!

Usually indicates bad disk or possible bad cable.

Thanks for the reply!

So, since I'm installing on SSD with set HD limit for FreeNAS VM of 32GB do you still think it could be bad SSD and cable?

Are you doing Thin Disk in the vDisks of the VM?

I had a similar issue when testing a Freenas upgrade in a VM.

Check if the disks are in Thin provision and make them Thick, by svmotion or power off them and "blow them up" to thin.
