Hi there,
As I start/try TrueNAS, I'm directly annoyed about the black favicons of the WebUI. And as I'm working with Dark Theme on my browsers, the favicon can't be really visible.
So, I searched for solutions over the Internet, and on this forum too, but I really didn't got some answers, even some posts here. I saw this 2 years old post here and it semt to be into a dev channel. And... 2 years later, still the black favicons.
So I tried on my own to change these favicons, and I successed. Maybe some people here are still interested.
You will find in attachment 3 PNG files wich are based on original TrueNAS colored favicons.
How to do? Simple:
Enable SSH then edit SSH options and enable the checkbox to allow root to connect
Connect to TrueNAS SSH with FileZilla or WinSCP
Go to /usr/local/www/webui/assets/images
Rename these PNG files to keep the original ones:
- truenas_core_favicon.png to truenas_core_favicon.png.bak
- truenas_enterprise_favicon.png to truenas_enterprise_favicon.png.bak
- truenas_scale_favicon.png to truenas_scale_favicon.png.bak
Copy the 3 attached files to the SSH folder
Refresh your browser. Et voila, blue colored favicons for your WebUI! :)
That's all!
Have a good night
