Hi,
Today my second C2550D4I stopped working, again.... To be honest, I googled it and found that average life for this mobo is about a year... bingo! I am afraid that the second RMA will not be availabe due the bought date.
Does anybody recomend a replacement mobo that can use ECC Crucial CT2KIT102472BD160B/CT2 (yes, I have 32GB ECC for this Mobo)?

Best Regards!

Sorry to hear that!
As far as I know Asrock has a 4 year warranty on that board because of the Intel problem. Irrespective of the buy date I would look to them for a replacement. I do not know of another board that will use that (very expensive) RAM.

There was recently a post by a user of this model board where they had received their third replacement board and the third was finally built with a different chip that should (hopefully) not fail again.
I would say that the thing to do is contact the manufacturer and be hopeful the replacement is actually built with the corrected (new) part.

Well, I think I just learned something - @MrToddsFriends I think that you are right (and it makes me feel better that I may yet have residual value in mine). Thank you.

I can say it works with the X10SL7-F as it's what I have.

Yes, that was my reference point when I checked just now. Somehow I got a wrong impression a year or so ago and have carried it since without revisiting.

My system is using this type of RAM also.

I had the same issue. I have been using this board for about 3 years and last year all of sudden it died. When the new board came I mounted a small fan of top of the heat sink from very old system I think it might have been pentium 2 or something. So far it has been ok for about a year now. I don't know if that was the problem or not but we'll find out in about another year. lol.
