ASRock FM2A78M PRO4+ w/Qualcomm Atheros AR8171

Has anyone got the Atheros AR8171 working with FreeNAS? I see a couple tickets in the ticketing system, but they've been closed a duplicates, and there doesn't seem to be a resolution. This NIC is supported in the latest release of FreeBSD (http://freshbsd.org/commit/freebsd/r273367).

Any ideas about when this might be implemented, or possible workarounds that don't include installing another NIC?

You'd be better off spending $30 on an Intel NIC. It will out perform the atheros and is 100% compatable with freeNAS.

Is there somewhere I can get a 9.3 USB image, or instructions on how to generate one from the other available downloads?

I just wanted to confirm that I got my AR8171 working with the 9.3 release. Woo!

Cool, but don't expect miracles from that thing. If it's as good as the killer stuff, you'll end up wanting an Intel NIC. Let's hope that's not the case.
