Hi guys.
on the first server(Freenas 11.1 U6) I have a windows share enabled with the option "Apply Default Permissions", if I open and close the "gui" that option is still enabled.
On a second server with freenas 11.2 I have a second windows share with "Apply Default Permissions" enabled but if i close and re-open "GUI" that option is not enabled.
I downloaded the configuration database of both servers and opened the two SQlite files, in version 11.2 inside the "sharing_cifs_share" table there is no longer the "cifs_default_permissions" column.

The "sharing_cifs_share" table definition has changed in 11.2, is it by accident or design? It's an issue to raise, even if it's just a redundant field left on the WebUI.

There was some discussion about how to handle this checkbox. I think the default was changed to have it unchecked unless you really want to burn your permissions down. As a matter of course, I always uncheck the box and make sure the foot-gun is unloaded.
