Apc UPS Configuration

Hello Members,

Hope you all are doing good.

Recently I have installed APC BR1500G UPS, I have configured it with freenas as a "slave" using pfsense box as a primary box (using apcupsd on pfsense).

Now the problem is shutdown timer, and mode.

There are only Two modes available,
1. UPS goes On battery.
2. UPS reaches low battery.

If I select the first option which is UPS goes on battery, then only I can enter the shutdown initiate time, means after going on battery start shutdown process after given time.

But what if I want options like start the shutdown process if 5 minutes or 10% power left in UPS battery.

Now what does second option (UPS reaches low battery) mean, because when I selected it, nothing has happened even ups reached on 1 minute of battery backup, so can someone explain when it will start the shutdown process if I have selected this option.

Apart from this can we include the apcupsd as a module in service page of freenas, because I feels it has lot better options then the exiting UPS module.

Please suggest.
