Just wondering if there is any particular reason why the .zfs folder is vetoed in the smb4.conf file by default? I realize the previous versions tab in Windows is probably easier for users to look at snapshots, but just curious if there is a different reason other than that.

Is there perhaps a way to enable access/viewing of the .zfs folder directly via GUI or command line? Tried editing both smb4.conf and "zfs set snapdir=visible Volume1/Share" but neither gave me any joy. Can access .zfs via putty/ssh though...
